Townsend Church will be delivering Christmas Trees to the Swannanoa Valley during Thanksgiving weekend. One hundred and eighty artifical trees have been purchased: one hundred (100) 6-foot trees, forty (40) 4-foot trees, and forty (40) two-foot trees.

Church attendees are invited to help with the trees, lights, ornaments, skirts and toppers. Most of these items can be found at Walmart. Please bring your donations (new items only) by Sunday, November 24th. Please sign up in the lobby with Brandie!

TREES

  • 100 6ft trees sponsored at $35
  • 40 4ft trees sponsored at $20
  • 48 2ft trees sponsored at $8

LIGHTS

  • 96 boxes of battery operated mini lights (garland lights) with batteries
  • Lights for the 6 ft trees have already been purchased by a donor! The 4 ft trees are pre-lit.

ORNAMENTS

  • About 140 boxes of traditional ornaments (Walmart sells a 75-count box of ornaments) 
  • 96 boxes of 16-count mini ornaments

SKIRTS

  • 140 standard tree skirts

TOPPERS

  • 140 standard tree toppers
  • 48 mini tree toppers (do these exist?)
